POSITIONS – POSTMASBURG

 

 

A major solar plant/renewable energy project is starting near Postmasburg, in the Northern Cape in November 2022 and will run for an estimated period of ten months.

JSM Business Services and Recruitment has been appointed to do the personnel recruitment for the project.  

.

The following positions will be available:

.

• Construction Manager:  registered and qualify for Pr, CPM at SACPCMP, more than 5-year experience in Large Piping Construction/Engineering Projects and Construction Management experience.
• Commercial Manager:  5-7  years’ experience in similar orientated engineering industry with 3-5 years relevant project commercial management experience – involvement with Quantity Surveillance, Engineering Projects.
• Site Coordinator:  To plan and coordination the Site (Project) as far as personnel accommodation, transportation and general personnel and domestic activities for a smooth and efficient project
• QC Project Manager:  Level II welding inspector with a Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an engineering fabrication facility, preferably in a management or coordinating position. Knowledge of P91, Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel welding is   important.

• Site QC Document Controller:  Minimum of 3 years administrative experience, preferably in a QC department with sound knowledge of Quality Documentation.
• HSE Coordinator:  Minimum 5-year Health and Safety field experience and a minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Site HR and Admin Officer:  at least 3 years’ experience in a HR Officer’s role with good administrative – payroll experience will be an advantage.
• Project Supervisors/Foreman:  4 – 5 Years’ experience as Welder/Boilermaker/Piper Fitter /Mechanical Fitter /Semi Skills with a relevant Qualification and 3 – 4 years’ experience in a Supervisory Capacity directly relating to the production tasks practiced within a company.

• Welders: Welder Qualification (Red Seal advantageous), a Coded Welder with 4 – 5 years’ experience as a Welder in a Pipe Fitting environment, qualified in the different welding techniques/procedures being practiced at the company.  Must know P91 and be able to do Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel Welding.

Each of the above positions required relevant ON SITE experience.

All appointed staff would have to relocate to the Postmasburg area for the duration of the project.  Accommodation or an allowance for housing for the duration of the project will be provided.

Market related salaries will be on offer for the above position and the employer will take into account the location and working hours when offers are presented to successful candidates.
